About Pud
I’m Becky, the founder and chief baker at Pud. A small home-baking venture born out of a sweet and sickly love for cake, with a dream to share my creations near and far!
Baking something (and then eating it…) has always brought me a lot of joy. Some of my earliest memories are of my mum, who baked on the side of working and looking after my sister and I, creating the most intricate cakes. Friends and family would always come to her for the important ones, the one’s that couldn’t be bought in store – special birthdays, anniversary cakes and tiers of white wedding slabs.
As an adult my love was solidified thanks to an annual pudding club with friends that always sees an array of bakes to try. My infamous pudding club is held around my birthday, allowing for a house filled with fun, laughter and most importantly, sweet treats, baked by my nearest and dearest. As you can imagine, there is nothing not to love. From those meets, which have now been happening (pandemic excluded) for over a decade, friends have always said I should sell my creations. So, after leaving my then job to focus more on myself and my young family I thought I would give it a go.

Launching a business during a pandemic came with risks but it has brought a lot of happiness – to me and hopefully to those who are continuing to enjoy a Pud since 2020.
